Job Description Summary:

The Senior Director of Global Physical Security at PayPal is responsible for leading a team of senior managers, security managers, and contract workers to execute physical security measures at every PayPal proprietary facility in The Americas, EMEA and APAC regions. The candidate will be responsible for providing on-going support, analysis, planning and implementation for a comprehensive global security plan for each PayPal facility enabling the business requirements in each region. The candidate will be an innovative and decisive leader who can communicate and thoroughly execute the physical security outcomes as defined by PayPal’s Chief Security Officer.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Direct supervision and oversight of a team of PayPal global Senior Managers and Security Managers.
  • Direct supervision and oversight of a global contingent guard staff including management of payroll, training, and security execution.
  • Assist with coordination and implementation of physical security site plans and operations to ensure protection of all employees, visitors, vendors, assets, and infrastructure. 
  • Provides guidance to the site security, global real estate onsite staff and line level management in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability resulting to reduce economic loss to the company.
  • Develops, manages, and maintains security related processes, procedures, training, and improvement plans.
  • Protection responsibilities include workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, and emergency protocols (e.g., disaster recovery, text messaging alerts, and employee safety verification procedures).
  • Advising on physical security issues pertaining to the security operations of the company.
  • Ensuring compliance with each country’s federal and local regulations.
  • Consulting with law enforcement agencies and regulators on security matters
  • Providing guidance on all security matters for training and recruitment.
  • Providing an effective risk analysis, threat assessment, and response capability regionally.
  • Ensuring the highest possible levels of security integrity are maintained through the application of risk management controls.
