About the role
As the Operations Manager 2, you will manage the Integration Center Warehouse and Inventory function. You will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. You will be responsible for inventory accuracy, reviewing levels of supplies, and performing a daily analysis.
What you'll do
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
- Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
- Partners with business leaders to deliver human resources services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
- Plan, schedule, manage and execute Integration Center Inventory cycle counts.
- Production & control of count sheets to perform cycle counting.
- Manage and resolve issues with all equipment placed in warehouse quarantine status.
- Determine causes of inventory issues and implement solutions, including recommending commercial write off, inventory adjustments and ownership/stock code updates.
- Ensure Issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to management promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate current inventory management processes and recommend areas for improvements.
- Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete activities.
- Continually assess resource requirements.
- Maximizing opportunities to develop the service and reduce costs
- Accountable for own P&L and understanding how this contributes to the overall department P&L
- Customer interaction through onsite Service Managers, attending service review meetings with onsite Service Managers and Customers where relevant
- Drive Continual Improvement plans
- The support of service integration, new business activities, projects or the expansion of services, support Contracted Services through contract renewals
- Actively managing Service Quality and ensuring “service excellence” ethos promoted
- Supporting GSD Objectives and Strategy
- The standardization of processes and procedures
- Contributing to the GSD ISO obligations (if applicable)
- SLA/ KPI/ OPI achievement
- Effectively escalates issues and opportunities
- Conduct employee training, performance reviews, coaching and counselling for direct reports.

What you have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of management experience in Inventory Management and Logistics Management.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Experience using an ERP system with MRP & MPS capabilities.
- Proven track record of work experience in a challenging commercial environment
- Proven commercial acumen
- Good working knowledge of relevant functional systems
- Experience in dealing with and influencing multi-tier management
- Experience of developing best practice policies and procedures for functional area
- People Management experience/Training
- Managing a result orientated operation
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the usual and customary methods of performing the job functions, including: a variety of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 50 pounds.
