The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Clinical Documentation Intake Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Communicating internally and externally to obtain missing documentation required for placement and/or billing, including outreach to home health agencies, patients, hospitals/facilities, and physicians.

  • Managing documentation intake workflows to support continuity of operations and timely processing.

  • Meeting production expectations aligned to departmental priorities while sustaining critical service level agreements (SLAs).

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND one (1) year of experience in healthcare billing or back-office support.


In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Knowledge of wound management principles, clinical documentation requirements, and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of U.S. healthcare billing rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the post-acute market, including Home Health Agencies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Wound Care Centers.
  • Previous experience with inbound and outbound calls.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and email.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Knowledge of KCI systems and procedures (preferred for internal candidates only).

Work location: Hybrid in San Antonio, TX

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
