First (Days) (United States of America)Sentara is hiring a Full Time Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist in Charge at Sentara Obici Hospital!
Schedule: M-F 9am-5pm
Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards. Maintains current knowledge of drug use through continuing education. Serves as the primary resource for drug information. Assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders. Precepts pharmacy students as assigned.
Required qualifications:
- Virginia/NC Pharmacist license (VDH) REQUIRED
- BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree in Pharmacy REQUIRED
- 1 year pharmacy retail experience REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) REQUIRED within 6 months of hire
- Will consider not licensed in Virginia due to relocation. Must have Virginia license within 90 days of Sentara start date.
Leadership experience is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in the laws and regs of the board of pharmacy. Must have strong communication skills and be a team player who can collaborate well.
