This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment; Connection Systems business unit. 

Summary (About this Position):

The Aptiv Connection Systems team has an exciting opportunity for a Production Control and Logistics Manager at our manufacturing facility located in Brookhaven, MS. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the PC&L team by planning, directing and coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications; and ensuring smooth distribution activities to the customers.

Your Role (i.e. Key Job Responsibilities):

  • Provide leadership, guidance and support for all logistics operations within the plant.  Including Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse Operations and Customer Service.
  • Assure consistent customer support
  • Communicate customer interrupt and material readiness issues to the organization
  • Responsible for Key metrics- Inventory Flow, Inventory Levels, E & O
  • Support manufacturing to meet production schedule
  • Optimize use of productive material resources and supplier capabilities
  • Ensure common production planning/material systems and process effectiveness
  • Ensure new program flawless launch
  • Achieve cost/CIP goals
  • Ensure APTIV Manufacturing System (DMS) Material Management Practices are compiled with
  • Ensure Scheduling, Ordering, and Logistics OS implementation meets business line objectives
  • Responsible for Shipping/Receiving & Warehouse Operations
  • Develop employees

Your Required Background (i.e. Must Haves):

  • More than 5 years Supervisor/Management experience in manufacturing or industrial environment, not limited to various assignment:  Material Management, Production Control, Logistics, Inventory Management
  • Prior experience with SAP or similar business enterprise purchasing, inventory control and/or procurement management system required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
  • Crisis Management
  • Task Team/Project assignment
  • Team development Skill
  • Bachelor degree
  • APICS Certified Preferred
