What will you be doing at DeepL?

Join our Localization team, and play a pivotal role in driving our international growth.

You will lead a wonderful and talented team of team leads, Operations and project management specialists, and Localization specialists dedicated to providing top-quality translations across all teams, including marketing, product, support, and sales.

As the head of Localization, you'll partner with leaders to define localization priorities, develop top talent, identify and implement innovative technology and process improvements, establish effective metrics to track localization quality and turnaround times, and drive adherence to localization best practices across all teams.

Requirements

Your responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a localization team consisting of team leads, language specialists, as well as project management and operations specialists
• Ensure the continuity of a successful collaboration between the team's localization specialists, and our team of specialists in linguistics as one overarching entity
• Lead the long-term strategy for our in-house team of localization specialists
• Partner with leaders across DeepL to define localization priorities, coordinate the execution of localization, and ensure that our workflows will scale with future growth
• Assist in delivering long term innovative technology and process improvements to enable scale in a growing and dynamic environment
• Develop top talent in multiple functions in order to build a high functioning team
• Develop effective metrics to track localization quality and turnaround times on an ongoing basis, and dive deep to identify mechanisms to improve each of these performance dimensions
• Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to inform and align on the team's strategies
• Inform across the business overall on the importance of localization, key challenges and ways to collaborate; define localization best practices and assure adherence
