Position Description: The Operations Manager-Rehab Division oversees the day-to-day operations of all sewers, clean and TV, grout, CIPP, and other projects and reports to the President of Bio-Nomic Services (BNS). This position provides technical, managerial, and organizational guidance to an expanding and growing service. The Operations Manager is responsible for: leadership; scheduling and deadline management; training and fleet management; evaluating, estimating, and selling work; managing projects; managing superintendent and project managers; ensuring a safe work environment; creating and managing budgets; developing and implementing goals; and ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Job Details: Job Title: Operations Manager (Rehab Division) Location: Belmont, NCPay: $90,000-$120,000 per year (Negotiable based on experience)Full benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, ESOP Responsibilities: Assist in providing construction inspection and management in the field of sanitary and stormwater rehabilitation and repair.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of superintendents, project managers, and field workers assigned to his/her crew that are engaged in all phases of pipe rehabilitation projects.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and regulations to promote a safe working environment, and all construction activities are performed as planned.
- Work effectively with the Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure successful project efforts.
- Ensure all field activities are performed following written work instructions.
- Report time and production for the crew in preparation of work schedules and expediting workflow.
- Account for hours and materials expended by crew members to minimize labor cost through daily/weekly/monthly tracking report.
- Hire staffing as needed and approved by the Executive Vice President.
- Ensuring proper training of all team members and new hires to ensure all team members are equipped to operate all equipment correctly and safely.
- Managing daily and weekly interaction with customers to preserve and build on BNS relationships.
- Estimating and selling additional work.
- Strong background in water and wastewater collections and transmission systems,
- Ability to lead staff in planning, organizing, supervising and implementation of various programs.
- Ability to apply sound administrative, supervisory skills and
engineering practices as related to water wastewater collection systems. - Technical understanding of water & wastewater transmission system operations
- Knowledge of the local, state and federal laws regarding sanitary, storm and potable water regulations.
- Mathematical skills to interpret technical data relating to conveyance and collection systems is essential.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge of water & wastewater collection / transmission systems including pipes, pumps, hydraulic calculations and performance, condition assessment and rehabilitation technologies.
- BS degree in engineering or environmental science with five years of progressive experience.
- Ten years supervisory experience in either water or wastewater collections or conveyance may be substituted for degree requirement.
- Travel is required as needed for the position, including to various job sites.
