Mower (Seasonal)

Description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for summer maintenance and lawn care at the golf course.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Operates powered mowing equipment in trimming golf course greens, aprons, and tees.
• Waters and fertilizes tees, greens, and fairways.
• Grades and prepares base for turf, lays sod and seeds tees.
• Sprays chemicals on greens.
• Assists in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways by grading and preparing base and planting turf.

Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and landscaping area construction and maintenance work.
• Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written direction.
• A valid driver’s license.

Work Requirements:

Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
