About Alumni Ventures

Alumni Ventures (AV) has over 10,000 investors who have invested over $1.3 billion in our venture capital funds. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer that finds the venture capital industry fascinating and even one day might want to build their own startup. But before you do that startup, you will help to build a richer experience for our investors in our investor portal and build internal tools that make our investment teams more productive with finding and managing our portfolios.

This is a hybrid role 3 days a week in our new Andover office. We are a Mac/Linux shop.

What You Will Do:

• Write maintainable and well-documented code using JavaScript and Node.js
• Architect new applications using frontend frameworks and server frameworks
• Solve complex problems with effective, simple solutions
• Develop unit tests to ensure application quality
• Collaborate with designers, developers and project management to ensure the timely delivery of software features

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. in Computer Engineering / Computer Science
• 4+ years of experience
• React, Next.js, or experience similar JavaScript client frameworks
• Relational DB experience. MySQL or Postgres preferred
• Full Stack Development experience
• Experience working successfully in an Agile software development environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science
• Serverless and AWS experience
• Experience using the latest AI tools to help with your coding
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the financial / investment industry
• Experience using the APIs of HubSpot and NetSuite.

Salary: $140,000-$180,000 plus equity and bonus
