Job Description

Entry-level position with a unique opportunity to learn multiple sample storage and logistics processes within a large environmental contract laboratory. Candidates will also have the ability to offer insight and make suggestions to enhance process improvement initiatives.

Candidates in this role will be:

• Processing and managing samples by performing a discarding process controlled through the LIMS system either manually or by operating an automated storage system.
• Moving samples from one area to another in order to utilize space within the facility.
• Helping to educate the lab technicians on sample storage and logistics processes so they can be self-sufficient with obtaining their own samples going forward.
• Driving consistency with the way that all sample storage and retrieval processes are performed within the various areas of the lab.
• Evaluating potential flaws within the current process and offering suggestions to improve the process or eliminate roadblocks.
• Assisting in other areas of the group by performing the sample splitting and sample unpacking processes as required.

Role will be 1st shift, full time. Monday - Friday.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
• Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift and lift 50+ lbs consistently.
• High School diploma or equivalent
