Job Description

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and communicate the overall mission, strategy and standards for GE Vernova’s Next Generation development programs, in close partnership with all key stakeholders.

  • Serve as the primary interface for all early career global program managers (GPMs), partnering with GPMs to define and uphold global Development Programs standards across GEV, including but not limited to functional curriculum learning purposes, strong rotational experiences, program hiring forecasting and recruiting strategy.

  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of our company’s development Programs purpose, mission and vision.

  • Build strong global standards to ensure quality rotations and experiences for our development program members.  Develop standard processes around assignment leader expectations/training and evaluating assignments across all functions.

  • Partner with University Recruiting to align recruiting strategies with program goals and outcomes, supporting the workforce planning process.  Progress global recruiting strategies for best positioned opportunities to hire strong talent into the programs. 

  • Closely partner with global learning & development team, SMEs and vendor partners to leverage best-in-class, learning strategies. Manage all phases of the GEV development program experiences, including design, development, delivery and with continuous improvement where appropriate.

  • Partner with global stakeholders and the learning & development team in support of the Next Gen Immersion Experience for direct hires ensuring relevancy and alignment into the early career strategy.

  • Establish standardized Program KPIs and success metrics and develop operating rhythm for review and evaluation in line with strategy.  Ensure program objectives maintain strategic alignment and deliver positive ROI.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the Programs based on feedback and industry trends.

  • Ensure program experiences are innovative, delivered timely and with the utmost quality.

  • Champion & promote the GEV Next Gen Development Programs both internally & externally.  Challenge status quo by benchmarking against external programs across industry and identifying disruptive opportunities to conventional program design & experiences.

  • Lead cross-business teams of program managers to drive GEV-wide initiatives

  • Accountable for cross-GEV program experiences budget and resource allocation

  • Oversight of tools and technology leveraged across all programs

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related discipline from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience

  • Preference for experience in HR, a program or talent management or learning & development role

  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and presentation)

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills; clear thinker

  • Innovative – not afraid to challenge the status quo, open to ideas

  • Change agent – ability to drive and manage change across various stakeholder groups

  • Prior experience with planning large events

  • Willingness and ability to travel 3-4 times per year (includes international travel)
