About the Role
As the Administrator, you’ll be the operational and regulatory heartbeat of our Colorado-based IHSS agency. You’ll oversee compliance with CDPHE and HCPF regulations, lead a dedicated team, and ensure client-centered care is delivered with excellence. This is a leadership role for someone who understands that quality, compliance, and compassion go hand in hand—and who thrives on both the strategic and the tactical.
This position is based in the Denver area or surrounding counties and will require regular in-state travel and occasional travel to New York State.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage day-to-day IHSS agency operations while ensuring full regulatory compliance with CDPHE (6 CCR 1011-1) and HCPF (10 CCR 2505-10) standards
- Oversee personnel lifecycle functions including hiring, onboarding, supervision, evaluation, training, and enforcement of personnel policies
- Serve as the agency’s primary point of contact for audits, site inspections, and licensing reviews, maintaining readiness at all times
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation for care plans, incident reports, staff files, training records, and agency policies
- Coordinate backup care coverage and ensure 24/7 service continuity for IHSS clients, including designating and training alternate administrators
- Maintain clear lines of authority and reporting, including an up-to-date organizational chart
- Develop and enforce internal policies and procedures related to quality management, infection control, complaint resolution, and emergency preparedness
- Supervise the agency’s marketing and public representation to ensure compliance with programmatic and ethical guidelines
- Liaise regularly with the governing body, agency partners, and community stakeholders to uphold transparency and accountability
- Oversee internal quality systems, including incident tracking, staff evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain Administrator availability M–F, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, or ensure alternate designee is available during those hours
- Participate in and complete all required state-mandated administrator trainings and continuing education
- Perform other related duties as needed to support agency growth and excellence
This is a community-based position. While extensive travel is not required, the Administrator is expected to spend time regularly in the communities where our clients live, including in-home visits throughout the Denver metro area and nearby neighborhoods along the I-25 corridor. Occasional travel to other regions of Colorado may be required as operations expand.
What We’re Looking For
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Licensed RN, healthcare professional, or person with experience in health service administration
- 2+ years of healthcare administration, with at least 1 year supervisory experience in home care or related field
- Must complete state-approved Administrator Training
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Strong working knowledge of Colorado IHSS program, EVV systems, and home care regulations
- Availability to travel and work flexibly as the program grows
- A passion for people, process, and high standards
