Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the KC-46 aircraft at Miho Air Base, Japan.
Come be part of an exciting new contract with the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) supporting their new KC-46 tanker fleet. We are looking for a KC-46 operations and maintenance expert to serve as an on-site Field Service Representative (FSR). The objective of this position is to identify remedies to aircraft anomalies so the JASDF can return aircraft to fully mission capable status. In this position you'll provide overall air vehicle technical support, guidance and expertise by working with JASDF personnel directly by researching anomalies, troubleshooting issue, and offering “over the shoulder” guidance.
FSRs are the in-person Boeing "face" to the customer, so personal appearance (grooming and dress), a helpful and friendly demeanor, and the ability to speak and write in a professional, unambiguous manner while working unsupervised for extended periods of time are paramount.
Working hours will nominally be 5-days a week (M-F), 8-hours per day. Additionally, FSRs must be willing to work flexible hours (i.e. on-call 24 hours per day, and 7 days per week) as the job requires. Deployment travel is anticipated to occur once annually.
This is a Long-Term Assignment to Yonago, Japan for a minimum of 2.5 years. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Although the primary job posting is listed as Tukwila, Washington relocation benefits to this site will not be provided but the selected candidate is not required to report to this duty station.

Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Providing technical guidance in the normal operation and maintenance of the KC-46
- Investigating system and sub-system issues and analyzing hardware and software issues to determine root cause
- Resolving technical issues dealing with airframe and mission systems.
- Supplementing local training by providing technical guidance and informal on the job training (OJT) for aircraft and support equipment
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- A current U.S. passport
- Minimum 3 years of experience with large aircraft/767 maintenance or operations role
- Minimum 3 years of experience/knowledge in the areas of avionics, general aircraft, and propulsion
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring schematics, and maintenance task procedures
- Experience teaching peers in a non-classroom setting
- At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with KC-46 aircraft in a maintenance and/or operations role
- Experience with air refueling aircraft
- Experience using Boeing web-based Information Systems such as My Boeing Fleet, VECTOR (technical inquiry request system), REDARS, and PSDS
- Avionics systems troubleshooting skills
- Previous military experience or extensive familiarity with military operation and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Part Catalogs
- Airframe & Power plant (A&P) License
- FCC Radio/Telephone Operators License
- Japanese language skills
- Experience working with non-US customers
