Position Overview:

The Material Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the supply, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment required for ground handling operations. This role ensures timely availability of necessary resources while maintaining accurate inventory levels and proper handling of materials.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies needed for ground handling operations. 

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking materials and equipment usage. 

  • Ensure proper storage conditions and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss. 

  • Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials. 

  • Conduct regular stock checks and order new materials when necessary. 

  • Assist in organizing and managing material stock to optimize space and accessibility. 

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in material handling processes.

  • Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health, wellbeing, safety, and security. 

  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in company and carrier Safety and Security procedures.  

  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific health, wellbeing, safety, and security rules or procedures. 

  • Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.  

  • Attend training courses as may be required by AGI. 

 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant
