Job Description
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Overnight Shift in Duarte, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .
As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a prominent healthcare location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential issues, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You may be required to patrol on foot and/or by bike, ensuring all areas are covered. Communication and professionalism are essential, as you will be assisting with security-related concerns and responding to requests for assistance. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing knowledge of emergency response activities as appropriate to the healthcare environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address incidents or emergencies within the location.
- Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions that may require intervention or escalation in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to ride a bike as part of job duties.
- A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
