About the Role
The Fleet Associate is responsible for supporting the Fleet Management team in maintaining, organizing, and coordinating the company’s fleet of vehicles. The Dismantler is responsible for properly removing high-valued auto parts and usable core parts in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. This role involves maintenance, tracking, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. They must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Key Responsibilities:
- Repairs and Maintenance
- Repair and replace malfunctioning parts, including tires, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as tire replacement and fluid checks.
- Ensure company vehicles are well-maintained, clean, and charged.
- Report any vehicle issues or needs promptly.
- Vehicle Setup
- Install a variety of equipment and accessories on vehicles, including cameras, emergency gear, phone accessories, and other electronic devices.
- Ensure all installations are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure all fleet activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
- Maintain records of vehicle inspections , maintenance, and safety checks.
- Inventory and Tool Management
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for fleet maintenance.
- Ensure timely replenishment of inventory and track usage.
- Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment used in the repair process.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- Create, update, and complete work orders in company systems.
- Update inventory in company systems.
- Coordination, Administration, and Reporting
- Schedule regular maintenance and repairs for the fleet to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor and track maintenance costs and ensure budget compliance.
- Assist in the acquisition, registration, and disposal of company vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicles, including registration, insurance, maintenance, and inspection documents.
- Update and manage fleet databases and tracking systems to ensure information is current and accurate.
- Monitor charging usage and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare and analyze fuel consumption reports.
- Prepare regular reports on fleet status, maintenance, expenses, and utilization.
- Assist in the development of fleet management policies and procedures.
- Provide support in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts related to fleet operations.
