Catalight Care Services is a multi-disciplinary non-profit organization that provides assessment, clinical case management, behavioral health treatment, and research opportunities in Northern California. The Postdoctoral Diagnostic Assessor focuses on psychological testing that establishes DSM-5-TR diagnosis, and second opinions assessment to the CCS clients, utilizing diagnostic tools, intelligence measure, adaptive functioning measure, and neuropsychological measures, in a manner that is consistent with clinical best practices for CCS. The Postdoctoral Diagnostic Assessor is integral in all aspects of diagnostic assessment including preparing, administering, establishing DSM-5 diagnosis, writing summary and full diagnostic report to include in the client’s medical record.
The Postdoctoral Trainee Diagnostic Assessor is a Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:30-5pm position, designed for the Postdoctoral Trainee to provide 2,000 hours of supervised clinical postdoctoral training in the area of developmental assessment, specializing in Developmental Disability Diagnostic Evaluations. We follow a training model of structured skill development that entails didactic training, group and individual supervision, shadowing, skill acquisition, supervised practice to independent practice under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.
On a weekly basis, Postdocs receive 2-3 hours of individual and group supervision, 1-2 hours of didactic training in developmental disabilities, evaluation procedures, and clinical adherence to best practices. Postdocs will gain 20-30 hours per week of clinical practice experience across services to include direct testing, consultation, feedback sessions with parents, intake assessments, with opportunities to provide some direct evidence-based therapeutic services.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Participate in an interdisciplinary team in completing diagnostic evaluations for toddlers, children adolescents, and adults where common differential diagnosis include ASD, ADHD, developmental delay, language disorder, and intellectual disabilities.

- Develop skills with support of supervisor to plan assessment batteries, test administration, interpretation, providing feedback to caregivers and report writing.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
• Completion of APA accredited Psychology program
• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology
• Successful completion of predoctoral internship
• Exposure and proficiency in relevant assessment measures
• Previous experience treating individuals with Developmental Disabilities
Knowledge & Skills:
- Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
- A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience
and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters. - Excellent verbal and writing communication skills; frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
- Skilled at providing feedback and training on policies and procedures.
- Comfortable presenting to large groups.
- Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). especially Excel and related computer software.
- Proficient in Salesforce, Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence.)
- Experience working with data visualization/reporting software e.g., Tableau, Power BI etc.
- Demonstrated experience in the development of effective processes and standard operating procedures.
- Skilled in establishing & maintaining optimal communication channels.
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience defining data and reporting requirements, analysis of data, and translating trends and outcomes into actionable recommendations.
- Work in an exciting, fast paced high energy environment while effectively multitasking and managing day-to-day responsibilities without supervision.
- Personable; able to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Must be highly detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
