Internal Medicine Biller

Location: Stark Medical SpecialtiesPosition: Internal Medicine BillerJob Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday
Stark Medical Specialties is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Medicine Biller to join our team. Looking for an individual who has experience in Nextgen or Medent computer software.

Responsibilities:

• Daily duties include working the AR and denials.
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage for patients.
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
• Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals to ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Stay updated on relevant billing regulations and coding guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of billing and documentation.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in medical billing is preferred
• Minimum of [2] years of experience in medical billing, is preferred
• Proficient knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Understanding of medical coding systems, such as CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS
• Payment posting
• Charge posting
• Knowledge of EOBs
• Familiarity with insurance claim forms and reimbursement processes
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
• Effective communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
