• POSITION: Summer Nurse Internship
• EMPLOYMENT TYPE: .9 FTE (72 hours a pay period) to last 10 weeks
• WORK SCHEDULE: Day/Evening

OVERVIEW

Thank you for considering our Summer Nurse Internship opportunity at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital, a subsidiary of MHealth Fairview for the summer of 2025!

Our Summer Nurse Internship program provides an individualized educational experience. The program is tailored to meet individual students. As a nurse intern, you will be mentored one-on-one with registered nurses to gain hands-on nursing experience. Our program provides opportunities to enhance your technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Every effort is made to place interns in the clinical setting that match their career goals, whenever possible. Interns will be able to experience a variety of departments including Emergency, Intensive Care, Med/Surg/Peds, Women's Health & Birth and Clinic

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or baccalaureate nursing program and will graduate by Summer/Sept 2026.
• BSN applicants will have completed their junior year and cannot have an RN licensure. ADN applicants will have completed two clinical rotations.

Applicants must:

• Have a current BLS for healthcare providers certification through August 2025.
• Be able to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period (every two weeks) in variable shifts
• Be able to work the same schedule and shift as your preceptor.
• Be able to work for 10 weeks during the summer beginning late May/early June to early/mid-August.
• Be able to attend mandatory orientation.
• If you accept a SNI position, you must enroll and participate in an internship course at a Minnesota based school of nursing.
• Demonstrate ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
