Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a skilled and motivated technician to support the Gradient Engineering team in the development and production of fiberglass formers. This role involves translating 3D CAD models (CREO 10) into CNC machine code for lathe and mill operations, programming equipment for fiberglass winding processes, and operating the filament winders, mills, and lathes to produce fiberglass formers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating CNC machinery, fiberglass winding machines, and a strong understanding of manufacturing workflows. Responsibilities include programming and machining fiberglass formers and developing new manufacturing processes.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Translate CREO 10 models into CNC programs for lathe and mill operations.

  • Develop and optimize code for fiberglass winding machines.

  • Operate CNC lathes and mills and filament winding machines to produce fiberglass former components.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs for manufacturability.

  • Ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy of machined parts.

  • Document processes and maintain organized records of programs and setups.

  • Little or no direction is given in execution of job related activities.

  • Comply with EHS regulations and policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field and 3 years of experience or High School diploma and 5 years of experience in CNC programming and lathe/mill machine operation.

  • Proficiency converting 3D models into CNC code.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CREO version 10 and Creo NC Complete preferred.

  • Experience with fiberglass winding processes is highly desirable.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information.
