• St Helens District Hospital is located on the stunning East Coast of Tasmania, with beautiful beaches and pristine environment.  
• The hospital has been at the Annie Street site since May 2019 and includes 9 subacute medical beds and a 4 bay accident and emergency department with plenty of onsite parking.

St. Helens District Hospital is Tasmania’s busiest rural emergency department, with an increase in emergency presentations during peak tourist season from December until April. The hospital provides a fast-paced environment that delivers high quality patient centred care. Our focus is on providing excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

Strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

• In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluates patient/client care.
• Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong team approach through open communication and a positive supportive approach.
• Practice in accordance with the NMBA codes and guidelines for registered nurses and midwives.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, shift worker (fully rotational) position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $78,179 to $99,316 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
