Job description

There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job.  We have open positions for second, and third shift.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to policies and procedures. The Maintenance Mechanic position has responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electromechanical equipment in a food processing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Must perform troubleshooting and repair, and provide technical support for all phases of the operation

·         Must be able to understand technical and training manuals.

·         Handle and distribute cleaning chemicals and record data

·         Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor

·         Perform general housekeeping duties in the department

·         Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements

·         Requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as basic electrical, electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes

·         Must be able to push/pull/lift 75 pounds

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance work experience documented in the work history section of the application OR be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
