The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to support our HEDIS performance improvement and operational reporting initiatives. This role will focus on delivering insights and building data-driven solutions to enhance healthcare outcomes, drive operational efficiency, and support compliance with HEDIS measures.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management and Reporting:
- Retrieve, structure, and manage complex healthcare datasets to support HEDIS reporting and operational dashboards.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards for monitoring performance metrics and trends.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and tools.
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Analyze HEDIS data to identify performance trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex healthcare challenges using data-driven approaches.
- Proactively recommend opportunities for improvement and innovation based on data analysis
- Partner with operational teams to align data insights with strategic goals.
HEDIS Expertise Development:
- Become an expert in HEDIS measures, processes, and performance metrics.
- Develop a deep understanding of data sources and their connection to HEDIS performance outcomes.
- Educate stakeholders on HEDIS data and processes to enhance data-informed decision-making.
Location: Remote (preference for Louisville, KY)

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of data analysis experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Expertise in managing large, complex datasets within enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to analyze data and develop solutions for complex business problems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- Experience creating data visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
Additional Information
