Senior Manager, Procurement

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

We are looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead our Goods Not for Resale Bid Management team. This role will provide direction the procurement analysts, build relationships with category managers, and generate a pipeline of projects to drive procurement initiatives. With a global scope ranging across all procurement categories, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement and a strong understanding of Ariba and/or Coupa CSO systems.

You’ll sweep us of our feet if…

• Strategic Development: Develop the local and global bid management program strategy and ensure successful delivery and optimization of the program aligned with Walmart’s key strategic imperatives and Work with category managers to generate a pipeline of procurement projects.
• Leadership: Manage and provide direction to a diverse team of procurement managers, located across different geographies.  Develop initiatives to drive supplier adoption to the eAuction program.

Engage with senior management to drive adoption of the program and ensure visibility of the value delivered, generating and presenting bid results to relevant stakeholders.

• Stakeholder Influence: Lead and influence senior stakeholders to implement and expand the eAuction program across all categories and develop, plan, and execute bid management strategies.  Perform highly complex project analysis, analyze RFx responses, develop award scenarios, identify outliers, and generate insights for negotiations based on RFx data

• Governance and Structure: Support development of governance and structure for the bid management team. Ensure effective use of Ariba and/or Coupa CSO systems within the team and set up, configure, and release RFx’s; upload details provided by category managers.
• Category Identification: Identify suitable candidate categories for management of the RFx process and eAuction negotiation strategy development and execution.  Develop and execute strategies for various reverse eAuctions within procurement.
• Training and Best Practices: Create and share training programs and best practices to enhance team performance, coordinating cross-market knowledge sharing to develop bid management strategies with Walmart markets.

You’ll make an impact with…

• 7-10 years of experience in procurement or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proficiency in Ariba and/or Coupa CSO systems.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Relevant industry certifications in business analytics e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Analytics Professional (CAP).
• Knowledge of coding languages such as Python, R, SQL, or VBA is an asset
