Postdoctoral Associate

Summary

A postdoctoral fellowship position in cancer immunology and immunotherapy is available at the Center for Advanced Innate Cell Therapy within the Texas Children's Cancer Center. The Postdoctoral Associate will finish experiments, data analysis, and manuscripts related to the IL18 mediated enhancement of CAR NKT anti-tumor activity project. The ideal candidate will be a relatively new grad eager to contribute to advanced projects involving IL18 mediated CAR NKT enhancement and will have, at minimum, some experience with CAR T or CAR NKT.

Job Duties

• Plans, directs, and conducts specialized and advanced research experiments.
• Evaluates and analyzes data.
• Establishes new research protocols and procedures.
• Summarizes research findings and publish results in research journals. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Education Required: MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
• No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in immunology, genetic engineering or related fields.
• Great fund of knowledge of tumor immunology principles.
• Ability to assess scRNAseq datasets and highly parametric flow cytometry.
• Understanding and practicing genetic engineering techniques (transfection, retroviral / lentiviral transduction, transposition, CRISPR-Cas9).
• Viral particle assembly.
• Excellent aseptic cell culture technique.
• Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn in a fast-pace, collaborative environment.
• Strong organizational skills, record keeping, and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
