Description
NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Cyber Security Project Manager (PM) to add significant value to a team of motivated, self-directed individuals for the planning and production support of Project Management functions supporting a large datacenter cyber team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, operate with a high sense of urgency and be highly detail oriented. Candidates will also apply industry PM experience to execute management efforts independently and advise stakeholders on recommended execution plans and capabilities. Candidates should have knowledge in execution of multiple types of PM methodologies (Waterfall, scrum, kanban, etc.). The PM will assist a DoD ISSM client by providing direct PM support, cyber security reporting, process improvement, mission owner cyber security coordination, cyber knowledge management, cyber inspection management, audit readiness, data gathering and analysis to identify issues and trends impeding client audit goals and objectives; apply knowledge of general business practices to support the oversight of development and implementation of corrective actions to transform the client's business environment; provide support in developing high quality work products and client deliverables under the direction of the government; coordinate routinely with the government to ensure the timely completion of tasks and deliverables with specified due dates. This is a HYBRID position and will require 1 day onsite per week and additional days as needed. Candidates will need to live within one hour of Hanahan, SC.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily standups and manage kanban boards for ISSM Support.
- Provide full support for external audits and inspections of the environments (most common is Cyber Operational Readiness Assessment (CORA).
- Support the government ISSM directly in a PM capacity.
- Oversee cybersecurity reporting to include identifying, developing, and maintaining reporting metrics for cyber functions, Audit Readiness Self-Assessment Reports.
- Review reports to ensure scoring accuracy and stakeholder lists.
- Notify stakeholders of new monthly scores.
- Develop and review policies and procedures in support of compliancy initiatives.
- Support cyber process improvement leads to identify areas of improvement.
- Develop working groups to define project.
- Perform project management duties to involve appropriate stakeholders.
- Manage working groups to ensure project plan is executed.
- Perform Ad-hoc ISSM duties.
- Continuous monitoring process development.
- Research and develop automation using Navy tools and techniques.
- Manage and perform Cyber Directive activities.
- Conduct Mission Owner cybersecurity coordination.
- Perform/oversee cyber knowledge management functions.
- All other tasks, as requested.

Requirements
Desired/Required Skills
- Six (6) years of direct experience with IT project management required.
- Consulting experience in support of any of the following areas: DON Enterprise IT Control Standards, NIST Standards, DON Implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) is required.
- Knowledge of RMF Control Family control compliance is required.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and/or enterprise risk management concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with CND Directives, Contributing Factors and Operational Behaviors regarding CORA is a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to be self-motivated and demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to facilitate client meetings and workshops to define client processes and needs.
- Ability to confidently interact with senior-level client personnel, including supporting the preparation of and participating in executive briefings.
- Participate in and actively support mentoring relationships within practice.
- Agile Scrum and Kanban experience.
- Basic MS Project knowledge is required, expert knowledge is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience using Atlassian Tool suite (JIRA/Confluence) - Expert knowledge is a plus.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 Tool Suite (Teams, MS Planner, SharePoint, Lists, OneDrive, etc.)
- One or more of the following Certifications (or commensurate): PMP, PMI-RMP, plus the Certified Scrum Master certification.
