About the role
Through its relationship with CUSO Financial Services, L. P. (CFS) Coastal Federal Credit Union is seeking a Financial Advisor to provide retirement and investment services to its member base in the Raleigh, NC area.
As Coastal’s Financial Advisor, you'll have the opportunity to use your sales talents and ability to build rapport as you work with our members to help them identify their financial needs and goals. You'll identify their needs, gather data, and then analyze that data to prepare and present your recommendations for the purchase of appropriate insurance and or investment products to meet their needs.
You'll be an employee of Coastal and a dual employee/agent of CUSO Brokerage Services, Inc. (CFS) and/or Members Trust Company (MTC). Securities industry licenses are held by CFS and MTC.

The contributions you can anticipate making:
- Developing and implementing an annual business plan and ensuring high visibly in the branches you are assigned.
- Using our approved sales process as you meet with members to identify their financial needs, goals, and plans. Then, based on your financial plans and analyses, preparing and presenting your recommendations for the purchase of appropriate insurance and/or investment products to meet the members' needs.
- Retaining your clients by meeting with them at least annually to review their goals, needs, and any changes to their situations or the products and services available to them.
- Cultivating a relationship with SEG's and community associations to enhance our visibility and business results.
- Conducting in-branch or SEG location seminars.
- Working with other advisory team members, the Planning Specialist, and the departmental support personnel to meet the needs of our members/clients.

Experience:
- Five years of sales or advisory experience in the securities brokerage, advisory, or insurance fields
- Four-year degree in Business, Finance, or Insurance or equivalent work experience
- FINRA series 7, 63/65 (or 66)
- NC Life, Long-term Care Insurance, and Medicate Supplement licenses
- CFP preferred
