Role Summary
The Alternative Investment Internal Consultant partners with external sales professionals to develop territories and manage relationships with Financial Advisors. You will prospect, sell, and retain advisors through a consultative process, contributing to sales targets and territory goals alongside external counterparts.
As an Alternative Investment Internal Consultant for Global Alternatives, you will support the Global Alternatives and US Intermediary businesses, representing over $650B in AUM. You will build strong relationships with Banks, Broker/Dealers, RIAs, TAMPs, and Intermediary Platform providers across the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Collaborate with Sr. and Hybrid Alternative Investment Specialists to optimize client coverage, deepen relationships, and drive sales of private markets/alternative investment products.
- Business Development: Identify sales opportunities, develop new business, and deepen relationships with existing advisors.
- Territory Management: Use data to prioritize targets within your territory, document sales measurements, and develop territory plans.
- Sales Support and Follow-up: Prepare and follow up on items to ensure Specialists are ready for field engagements.
- Travel/Client Engagements: Attend conferences to represent the firm and generate leads.
- CRM Management: Update Salesforce to maintain data integrity and provide insights for improvement.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 8+ years of total relevant work experience
- FINRA Series 7 AND 63/65, OR Series 7 AND 66
Preferred:
- Experience in intermediary markets
- Understanding of consultative sales
- Passion for capital markets, private markets, and alternative investments
- Strong relationship-building and data analysis skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Salesforce
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Proven consultative sales results and sophisticated communication skills
- CAIS, CIMA, CFP or CFA designation(s)
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base Salary Ranges

$133,000.00 - $240,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$133,000.00 - $240,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$133,000.00 - $240,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
