Your Career:

The evolving and transformative role IT can have in the industry in general and Palo Alto Networks in particular as we scale the company for multi-product security platform means new opportunities in the way we help transform the business, optimize IT and drive Enterprise AI transformation. We are looking to hire the leader for AI who will closely partner with the CIO on defining the IT Strategy and execution with focus on AI, Cloud, Data and Experience & Efficiency.  To support our AI strategy across the enterprise business, this leader will bring expertise in machine learning experience, robust data analytics background, and solid software design and development skills who can utilize data-driven techniques in building AI solutions to help manage, scale, and optimize our IT and business operations. This role will collaborate with Business, IT Infra and Ops, and Applications, and Data and Analytics, InfoSec teams to ensure the enterprise AIML strategy and implementations add value to the business. The leader will partner closely with the CIO Leadership, Strategy and Product to ensure the above-mentioned outcomes are achieved

This role will report to the CIO.

Qualifications

Your impact:

• Setting the strategy and execution plan for AI architecture to support the Business and IT strategies and maintaining the architectural principles
• Design efficient and scalable AI solutions using industry-leading ML models, such as Large Language Models, SaaS vendors, specialized models, etc. 
• Design and implement AI solutions to solve IT operational challenges in an end-to-end fashion for enhanced employee experience and satisfaction
• Combine industry best practices and a first principles approach to design and build AI Solutions with the integrated thinking of data, AI models, process and UX engineering.
• Continuously make improvements based on analytics insights to optimize AI model efficiency and increase proactive and automated employee engagement experience across all business functions.
• Collaborate with members of IT teams, Product teams, and Business Teams to drive superior business outcomes. 

Your Experience:

• Master’s degree in Data Science/AIML, Computer science, or Statistics; Ph.D. a plus
• MS +12 (or more) years of experience, or Ph.D. + 8 (or more) years of experience
• Experience in Large Language models, natural language processing (parsing, entity recognition and detection, text classification, etc.), language modeling, and data mining and statistics
• Knowledge of Core AI Techniques and Algorithms
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to articulate strategically about how AI can be used to drive business value. This requires an understanding of the business and its goals, as well as the ability to identify and prioritize AI use cases that align with those goals
• Proven experience leading and inspiring a high-performing team to support growth objectives
• Demonstrated ability of building quick alignment, driving to decisions, influencing without positional power, and collaborating to producing improved outcomes
• Have a startup personality that is hands on, driven, strategic, accountable, ethical, collaborative, hard-working, and productive.
• Excellent communication, written documentation and oral presentation, and interpersonal skills for building relationships with various levels of an organization
• Experience in complex enterprises with growing responsibilities highly preferred.
