Adjunct Professor of Business Management Communication

About the role

Description

This position is for the 2026-2027 academic year, and is on a part-time basis.  Applicants must be able to teach on campus in Pittsburgh, and teaching will be for one or more of the following classes:

  • Business Communication for Analytical Decision Making, a course for students in the Masters of Science in Business Analytics program focused on data storytelling for business analysts. In-person daytime class for seven weeks from mid-October to mid-December 

  • Early Career Presentation Skills, a course for students in the Masters of Science in Management program focused on understanding business audiences, organizing presentations, and delivering with credibility.  In-person daytime class for seven weeks from mid-October to mid-December.

  • Business Communication, a course for undergraduate Business majors focused on routine business correspondence, intercultural communication competence, and recommendation report writing. In-person daytime class for 14 weeks from late August to early May.

Classes have multiple sections and existing syllabi and may need to be taught in concert with other faculty.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or terminal professional degree required

  • Relevant college-level teaching experience in communication, writing, speaking, etc.
