IAD Janitorial Part-time Weekend & Holiday Overnight Shift

The Overnight Janitorial role provides the deep cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area at the airport. 

Title: Overnight Janitorial

Pay Rate: 16.25 per hour

Location: Dulles International Airport

Job Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Shift:

• 09:30 PM to 06:00 AM
• Weekends and Holidays are required.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.  
• Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems 
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. 
• Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities 
• Cleaners must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned. 

Responsibilities: •  Clean and maintain buildings/facilities •  Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures •  Notify the Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems  •  Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. •  Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities  •  Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment •  Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks  •  Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees  •  Wash and replace blinds •  Gather and empty trash  •  Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks  •  Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas  •  Service, clean, and supply restrooms Preferred Qualifications: 

• 1 yr of similar work experience 

Qualification:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge, and Customs Seal, including completion of a background check and ten-year work history.
• Must be willing to work on Saturday, Sunday, and three days from the weekdays. (total of 5 days)
  • You will have two consecutive day-offs in between Monday and Friday

• Identification with Current Address (Choose one)** 
  •  State ID 
  •  Driver's License  
• Citizenship Verification (Choose one)** 
  • US Citizens: US Passport or US Birth Certificate/Naturalization WITH SSN
  • Foreign Nationals: Green Card or Employment Authorization Document (EAD) accompanied by SSN Card (if a green card is not available) 
• EAD Categories NOT ELIGIBLE for SIDA security clearance: A10, A11, C08, C10
