Title Assistant

Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant to support the digitization of county records. This temporary role is part of a focused project to scan, organize, and digitize historical and administrative documents. Upon successful completion of the project, ongoing employment may be evaluated based on performance and organizational needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Operate scanning equipment to digitize paper records accurately.
• Organize and prepare documents for scanning (e.g., removing staples, sorting).
• Index and catalog scanned files using designated software systems.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive records.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project milestones.
• Assist with physical and digital file organization as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with scanning equipment and document management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, file management).
• Ability to lift and move boxes of documents (up to 25 lbs).

Terms:

• Temporary position until project completion.
• Evaluation for continued employment will occur at the end of the project.
