Liftoff is seeking an experienced Director of Strategy and Corporate Development to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Strategy and Corporate Development, the hire will play a critical role at the company by shaping the medium to long term strategic direction of Liftoff, leading key strategic projects and participating in M&A efforts. This role is highly visible and an impactful position that will involve regularly meeting with and advising senior management including the CEO, the CFO, and product and tech leadership.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Develop overall strategy for the enterprise including leading the annual strategic planning process
- Create compelling and persuasive presentation materials to communicate key learnings and recommendations (verbally and in writing) to senior level executives and the Board
- Identify, define, and analyze industry and competitor trends and translate analysis into meaningful takeaways to support Go to Market and technology organizations
- Help shape the M&A strategy and monitor an active pipeline; illustrative transactions include JetFuel, TreSensa, GameRefinery, and AlgoLift.
- Support evaluation and execution of M&A opportunities, including conducting due diligence, developing business cases, building detailed financial models (DCF, comps, accretion / dilution), structuring the transaction and working closely with internal leaders and external advisors
- Form integration plans for acquisitions including organizational structure alignment, back office functional integration, and synergy capture
- Participate in key capital markets activities including but not limited to public debt lender calls

Education and background:
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. MBA preferred.
- 3+ years experience with a national strategy consulting firm OR industry relevant investment banking experience
- Experience in the ad tech or mobile gaming space particularly in strategy or corporate development roles will also be considered
Liftoff's compensation strategy includes competitive market rate along with equity and benefits and perks that will give our employees what they need to do their best work. In order to ensure teams are compensated fairly for the work performed, we map out specific levels and take into consideration the cost of labor within each location.
The minimum base pay for this position in the US depends on the location and falls in the following zones:
SF Bay Area, New York City, Los Angeles, Orange County: $260,000
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, Boston, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Chicago: $234,000
All other cities in our approved to hire states: $221,000
