About the role

Job Summary

This role serves as a strategic partner responsible for both accounting and financial analysis for a growing, investor-backed real estate development and investment platform. The position owns GAAP-compliant accounting, financial and investor reporting, and financial analysis across multifamily construction projects. The role works closely with executive leadership to translate complex financial data into insights that support growth, capital allocation, and investor confidence.

These skills will be used to:

  • Lead all accounting activities including monthly, quarterly, and annual close, audits, and tax coordination
  • Provide strong GAAP expertise and consulting across the business, while ensuring all operations and reports are managed in accordance with GAAP and Company standards
  • Manage construction loan draws, lender reporting, and bank compliance
  • Own financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling for regular business planning processes
  • Provide insights on risks and opportunities to leadership using data-driven analysis
  • Support investor reporting including financial models and pro formas, sources and uses, waterfalls, and return analyses
  • Build and manage scalable financial reporting and analytics processes to support portfolio growth
  • Support capital raising efforts by ensuring alignment between accounting records, investor models, and offering materials
  • Partner with development and construction teams to analyze feasibility, budgets, cost-to-complete, and return impacts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA/CA preferred
  • 7+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility. Oracle ERP experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting expertise
  • Experience managing or reviewing investor models and return structures; Juniper Square experience is a strong plus
  • Multifamily and/or commercial real estate development and construction accounting experience
  • Job Costing and Project Accounting Experience, especially in the construction industry
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
