Job Duties

Catawba Hospital is hiring additional full-time team members with a passion for learning and caring for our psychiatric population. Opportunities exist for additional compensation by completing the Direct Service Provider Pathways program.
Become a member of an experienced team of healthcare professionals in a friendly, supportive atmosphere that fosters an environment of learning, growth and opportunity for advancement. Creative scheduling and NO MANDATED OVERTIME. The successful applicant must work every other weekend.
CNAs are eligible for a Sign-on Bonus of $3,000.00 (must be new to Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services)

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to provide direct patient care under supervision of licensed staff; ability to follow instructions and report observations of bio-psychosocial needs and behaviors to licensed nurse in timely manner; skills in providing direction and assistance to patients in activities of daily living; has knowledge of developmental and psychiatric disorders. Demonstrate competencies as defined on Competency Assessment.

Additional Considerations

Previous experience as a CNA in a mental health setting is highly desirable.
