Job Description

This position is responsible for administrating the manufacturing orders process and the reconciliation of manufacturing orders. This position will also assist with the accuracy of raw materials, finished goods and label inventories. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Follow all safety, environmental rules, and regulations applicable to the position.
  2. Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
  3. Review and prepare daily manufacturing orders (MO) for Production, Starch, BBQ, and Mustard departments across all shifts. 
  4. Provide guidance to Production Supervisors regarding the “needs” sheet for MO reconciliation.
  5. Communicate issues affecting planning, operations, customer service , raw ingredients and inventory.
  6. Create a process to track and archive all MOs.
  7. Attend daily staff meeting and be prepared to review any MO issues with the team.
  8. Adapt to daily changes in production/business demands.
  9. Ability to identify issues with production/inventory and elevate correctly to avoid business disruptions.
  10. Works daily with Master Scheduler in ensure schedule integrity.
  11. Participate in the monthly physical inventory.
  12. Obtain forklift certification to have the ability to move items when necessary.
  13. Troubleshoot reconciliation issues in the departments to resolution.
  14. Assist logistic manager with inventory and shipping issues.
  15. Report to Plant Superintendent.
  16. Additional duties as assigned by plant management.  

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred.

Related Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the food industry.

Skills: Proficient use of Excel, Word, Outlook; prefer Inventory Management System.

1.      Must be detailed, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

2.      Must have good problem solving skills

3.      Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and tasks

4.      Must have excellent interpersonal skills to work as an efficient team member and lead when necessary.

Additional Information

Physical:  Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/down stairs and ladders (portable, fixed).

Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)

Mental/Reasoning: Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization
