Position Overview:

Create high-impact, high-visibility video content that elevates the Sutter Health brand, boosts patient and consumer acquisition and loyalty, and enhances the work experience for employees and physicians in a fast-paced, creative environment. Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.

Serve as an expert in filming, producing, directing, and lighting, as well as key post-production roles including video editing, audio mixing, color correction, color grading, and motion graphics/animation. Create scripts, storyboards, and creative treatments, transforming them into engaging and relevant video content for consumers, thought leaders, and employee audiences.

Shoot, edit, and produce diverse multimedia content, including patient stories, marketing and advertising videos, executive communications, employee campaign promotions, and social media channel videos.

Work on both documentary-style productions and scripted videos. The role involves limited studio filming, with most time spent on-site at care centers, patient homes, and Sutter facilities. Editing will be done in a hybrid mix of in-office and at-home settings.

Be equally comfortable and effective working independently or with internal marketing, communications, business and clinical teams, as well as patients, community partners, contractors, and vendors.

Ideal candidate will be well versed in the Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.

Job Description:

The candidate selected must live in the Northern California Sutter Health footprint. Frequent travel to different locations is a part of this role.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Communications, English, Film and Video Production, Journalism, Public Relations (PR) or related field


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.



SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Expertise in modern video and photo production and post-production techniques, hardware, software, technology resources and solutions (includes cameras, lights, audio, computers, video hosting/streaming).
  • Solid knowledge of audio, video and graphics editing programs with a understanding of a wide range of digital video formats, media compression, and content operations methods and processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of media production best practices, technologies and processes, including a thorough understanding of content license requirements, asset metadata, video workflows, encoding, content management systems, storage and optimized delivery systems
  • Communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, including presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex or technical information while building consensus.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize information, ideas and strategies across a variety of subject matter areas and to create targeted and innovative multimedia solutions that deliver and engaging viewer experiences
  • Solid analytical, negotiation, and project management skills, including the ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient with video and audio production equipment and non-linear editing software and systems.

  • Work independently, as well as be part of the team, while demonstrating organization skills:
