Quanterix is a company that is digitizing biomarker analysis with the goal of advancing the science of precision health. The company’s ultra-sensitive detection solution, Simoa, has the potential to change the way in which healthcare is provided today by giving researchers the ability to closely examine the role of biomarkers in the continuum of health to disease. Quanterix’ technology is designed to enable much earlier disease detection, better prognosis and precise treatment methods to improve the quality of life and longevity of the population for generations to come. The technology is currently being used for research applications in several therapeutic areas, including oncology, neurology, cardiology, inflammation and infectious disease.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Director, Investor Relations based in Billerica, MA. This role will function as a vital link and conduit of communication between Quanterix and investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders and influencers in the investment community. The primary operational goal of the Investor Relations program is to inform and keep stakeholders, including investors, security analysts, senior management, and the Board of Directors, well-versed about Quanterix’s strategic and financial progress. Collaborating closely with the CFO, this position will supervise all facets of the Investor Relations function. This role will report to the CFO.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead creation of corporate and financial communications, including preparation of quarterly earnings press releases and scripts, earnings presentations, Q&A, content for investor presentations, road shows, and board presentations.
- Lead the development and implementation of a targeted investor relations strategy to maximize the Company’s long-term value creation and ensure the consistent presentation of that strategy across all messaging.
- Manage and update the Company’s corporate presentation and press releases for data releases, scientific meetings, presentations, and publications in close collaboration with Scientific Communications.
- Develop a deep and thorough understanding of the Company’s pipeline and corporate strategy; support the delivery of this strategy to both internal and external audiences through clear and compelling written and oral communication, in compliance with corporate policies and securities regulations.
- Conduct periodic, in-depth, investor targeting exercises and maintain a target investor list. Monitor sell-side analyst models and earnings estimates, actively seeking new coverage and expanding institutional investor relationships.
- Maintain the IR calendar, which includes strategic decisions on Company and executive participation in investor conferences, non-deal roadshows and analyst/investor meetings.
- Conduct data collection, analysis, and create periodic feedback reports on stock price, analyst estimates, industry perceptions, and market trends. Present findings to senior management and the Board, maintaining an integrated investor relations model
- Follow industry, competitor and customer developments and news flow, including earnings calls and analyst days, and communicate key takeaways to management.
What We’ll Expect From You:
- 10+ years experience in investment banking or equity research
- Bachelor’s degree
- MBA preferred but not required
- CFA preferred but not required
- Experience working as a buy-side or sell-side analyst a plus.
- Must be able to travel to investor meetings / conferences as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to create executive level materials with high attention to detail
- Proactive, curious and positive
- Outstanding financial and investment analysis skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability.
- Demonstrated understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its equity.
- An in-depth understanding of the financial and investment markets and the ability to establish new relationships in new industries quickly.
- Basic knowledge of SEC disclosure requirements and filings, accounting, and financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of the industry and market trends, competitive intelligence and consumers
- Highly organized and thoughtful with exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
