HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Pulmonology team in O'Fallon.
The Pulmonology APP will function in a dual role (along with the current pulmonary NP) supporting:
-Inpatient Pulmonary Consult Service
-Pulmonary Nodule Clinic
-This position is designed to improve access, enhance continuity of care, and support growth of a structured lung nodule tracking and early-detection program.
You will be part of a well-established and expanding practice within the Hospital Sisters Health System, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Practice Highlights
-Well-established, growing practice
-Monday – Friday weekly schedule
-Occasional call when on inpatient Pulmonary Consult Service-Only after training
-EPIC EMR
-Clinics are within the hospitals, providing access to all imaging, labs, scans, and diagnostics needed
Training & Support
-Structured onboarding in pulmonary consult workflow
-Education in lung nodule management and surveillance algorithms
-Gradual progression toward independent clinic sessions within a physician-led model
Position Requirements
-Unrestricted Illinois license and DEA prior to start
-Board Certified/Board-Eligible
-Experience in inpatient medicine preferred
-Interest in subspecialty pulmonary care
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
-Comfortable managing moderate-acuity patients in collaboration with physicians

Education Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.
- Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
- Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or
- Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
- Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.
- Federal DEA license is preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
