About the role:

Robinhood's Corporate Engineering Team is looking for a stellar Engineering Manager to help build and lead our Network team. You will oversee the building and management of the global Robinhood network, network services and supporting infrastructure which connects Robinhood to the world and to hoodies abroad. The services you build will protect the availability and reliability of the Robinhood global network and provide a phenomenal user experience to Robinhood customers, partners and authorized Robinhood team members at the same time.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

• Collaborate with technical leads to set the direction for Network Engineering
• Provide technical expertise and leadership in the implementation of Network Services, Cloud gateways, configuration management, monitoring and alerting, logging, release management and project management.
• Lead the infrastructure enhancement process including multi-functional build-out, and features required to support Robinhood's global corporate infrastructure
• Work with cross-functional business, product, analytics, and engineering leaders to collaborate, plan, and execute on a roadmap for the Network Engineering team
• Lead strategic direction on solutions for Robinhood's global network and corporate infrastructure needs
• Coach team on availability standards, operational excellence, and automating workflows
• Manage on-call rotations and cross training
• Drive engineering best practices for design documentation and runbooks for all critical network services
• Work with Technical Program Managers and Technical Writers to develop documentation for the Network Engineering projects and initiatives.

About you:

• 5 years+ of experience in network and/or engineering management
• Experience making technical decisions and delivering technical solutions
• Experience building teams, mentoring engineers, and developing people
• Hands-on network engineering with operations background supporting critical services
• Experience with network provisioning automation

Bonus points:

• Experience with Operational Excellence & Reliability at scale
• Experience with AWS and other cloud platforms
• Experience with Terraform IAC and configuration management tooling

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. You can view comp zones for our US office locations in the table below. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
