Director of Table Games

JOB SUMMARY: 

This position is responsible for developing, implementing and managing programs, processes and people in table games to enhance the overall successful operations of the property

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:

2. Ensure proper staffing of personnel and track all department expenditures to adhere to previously set         budgetary guidelines. 

3. Responsible for determining and implementing changes in equipment as required. 

4. Responsible for being a liaison with both gaming regulatory officials and gaming equipment vendors. 

5. Review departments financial data. 

6. Review casino activity and promotional status with appropriate personnel. 

7. Monitor and adjust performance to local competition. 

8. Responsible for planning, controlling, communicating, and implementing procedures and processes for the overall efficient operations of the department. 

9. Ensure staff is trained and prepared to deliver the highest level of customer service to the guests in order that they might have a positive gaming and entertainment experience.

10. Develops and manages the budget for table games. 

11. Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers. Manages programs and processes to control and reduce loss time injuries. Ensure safety and security of all patrons and employees. 

12. Development of staff, interviews, hires, and evaluates personnel. 

13. Delegates duties and authority and assigns responsibilities. 

14. Answers patrons’ complaints and resolves problems. 

15. Assists and advises other departments and personnel as necessary to ensure the successful performance of the Casino and the Company overall. 

16. Meet with directors and managers as necessary. 

17. Controls and facilities processes to ensure proper head count and employee coverage in all operational departments. Monitors FTEs, actual head count, and overtime. 

18. Provide various oral and written reports to the General Manager. 

19. Achieve departmental and individual performance goals and duties in a timely manner. 

20. Demonstrate ability to understand, communicate and comply with Company Policies, Processes, and Procedures. 

21. Manages programs and processes to control and reduce loss time injuries.

22. Manages property emergency and disaster plan. 

23. Manages program to deny underage people access to gaming areas.

24. Other duties as assigned

 

AUTHORITY AND SUPERVISORY CAPACITY  

The position is responsible to the General Manager/VP for the successful performance of assigned duties and responsible for the supervision and performance of the Casino departments, including Table Games, Poker, , Supervisors, and other staff.

DEMANDS TO COMPLETE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PHYSICAL & MENTAL:     

• Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively. 
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at an assigned office area. 
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as a 10 key adding machine, PC, fax machine and photo copier. 
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to tolerate a smoke-filled environment for up to eight hours. 
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino
• Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.
