Minnesota State Community and Technical College is seeking a Director of Nursing. This position will be located on the Moorhead Campus.

Position Summary: 

The Director of Nursing provides direction, leadership, and administrative management for the Associate Degree and Practical Nursing programs at M State. This position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Health Sciences, Human Services, and Nursing, and supervises nursing program faculty college-wide and lab assistant staff.  The Director of Nursing provides leadership to ensure quality education and compliance with state, national, and accreditation standards. In collaboration with the Dean of Health Sciences, Human Services and Nursing, the Director of Nursing is responsible for academic and strategic planning, assessment, budgeting, faculty and staff development, and fostering an equitable and inclusive environment of the college nursing programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in nursing, nursing administration, nursing education, or a related field.
  • Professional Licensure/Certification: Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota and North Dakota.
  • Type and Length of Experience: Leadership experience in a collegiate or clinical setting.
  • Other: Experience as a nursing instructor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Doctoral degree in a related field.
  • Type and Length of Experience: Three to five years of teaching and/or administrative experience in collegiate nursing programs.

Other:

  • Experience in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
  • Knowledge of diverse teaching methodologies and student support strategies.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and supervisory skills.
  • Progressive leadership and management experience in higher education.
