Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Regional Patient Access Training Specialist to join our team!
The Training Specialist duties will include, but not be limited to:
Responsibility for training new and current employees from centralized and ancillary departments who perform Patient Access job functions in legacy Health Information Systems (HIS), Epic, and other Revenue Cycle software applications.
Providing scheduled in-person classroom and virtual training which includes preparing training schedules, informing target audience of all pertinent details, setting up the training environment, tracking attendance, following up on colleague assessments and logistics oversight.
Working with system implementation teams to develop, test, and train end users and QA various applications and functionality. Supports Epic TogetherCare Super User and end user training in preparation for Epic implementation.
Developing, as needed, and maintaining current content for colleague training materials, including training SharePoint sites, updates workflows, policies and procedures, and competency tests as approved by the Regional Manager Patient Access Training.
Understanding the intricacies of legacy HIS systems and Epic Patient Access applications for investigative research and for troubleshooting registration errors and resolving claim denials.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
- CHAA & CRCS-I certifications preferred
- Three (3) years’ experience in delivering workforce educational training programs & development of course curriculum. Some knowledge of & experience with specialized methodology in the development of training support tools
- Working knowledge of third-party payer regulations, requirements & laws governing admissions/registration procedures. Proficient in medical terminology.
Additional Qualifications (Preferred)
- Knowledge of adult learning pedagogy & techniques.
- Credentialed in Epic Cadence, Prelude & Referral applications strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of scheduling with mastery in at least three (3) or more modalities & insurance verification processes with three (3) years scheduling experience in an acute care setting.
- Knowledge & experience of Revenue Cycle functional training for all key Patient Access (PAS) functions & processes.
