Description:

Come join our Patient Access team at Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England!

Position Purpose

Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information.

What you will do

  • Perform complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions

  • Verify insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits

  • Collect non-covered fees. Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent

  • One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
