We are actively hiring for a Personal Lines Insurance Catastrophe Risk Product Manager - Remote
Your Role: This role serves as the organizational lead for catastrophe risk initiatives, aligning underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance, product, and analytics teams to implement strategy. Rather than performing hands-on modeling, you will interpret model outputs and translate insights into underwriting, pricing, exposure management, and portfolio diversification strategies across our footprint. You will own specific focus areas (e.g., flood, inflation) while helping drive the company’s overall catastrophe strategy.
This role sits at the intersection of catastrophe analytics, product strategy, underwriting, and capital management. You will interpret catastrophe model outputs and turn those insights into practical actions that balance growth, profitability, and risk resilience across our personal lines property portfolio.

We are open to Product Manager levels 1–3 for this role. Leveling will be determined through the interview process.
Your Work:
- Shape personal lines catastrophe risk strategy
- Define and evolve our countrywide catastrophe risk management approach
- Establish concentration risk thresholds and portfolio diversification strategies
- Translate catastrophe model insights into actionable underwriting and pricing strategies
- Lead cross-functional initiatives
- Serve as the organizational quarterback for initiatives across underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance, analytics, and product teams
- Lead complex initiatives that strengthen portfolio resilience and growth
- Align business groups on strategy and drive execution through influence and collaboration
- Drive portfolio risk management
- Monitor catastrophe exposure and total insured values across geographies and perils
- Develop strategies to manage accumulation risk and improve portfolio diversification
- Project manage implementation of underwriting guidelines, product changes, and operational controls that support risk objectives
- Turn analytics into business decisions
- Interpret catastrophe model outputs and communicate their practical implications
- Drive organizational understanding on the impacts of inflation and macroeconomic trends to our total insured values and manage insurance-to-value of the book
- Team with reinsurance, actuarial, and capital management teams to evaluate catastrophe exposure and loss volatility
- Leverage catastrophe risk capabilities
- Find opportunities to improve catastrophe risk monitoring, reporting, and decision frameworks
- Lead initiatives such as improved accumulation management tools, coastal underwriting rules, or portfolio diversificatio
