We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

PayPal Data Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of PayPal, Inc., seeks Software Engineer 3 in Austin, TX

Job Duties: Design and implement highly available, configurable, and scalable backend software components to minimize the TPV (Total Payment Value) loss to increase financial profits for PayPal. Develop object-oriented design to implement and test complex features within multi-tier distributed software applications. Perform and analyze load and performance testing on software applications to ensure optimal resource usage. Develop automated software tests and deliver high quality code to production within a short development cycle in the Continuous Integration and delivery environment. Build performance efficient, highly scalable, configurable, and available software applications and systems. Design, develop, and test high throughput back-end software systems.  Conduct software design and code reviews, fix bugs, and resolve production issues. 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
