The Change Management Consultant position plays a key role in ensuring that client organizational projects and initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This person will focus on the people side of change, which will involve preparing, supporting, and equipping people to adopt and use changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, organization structures and more.
This person will work with the Change Management Specialist, Project Manager, and client stakeholders to assist in the development and leading of change management strategies and plans to maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes. These responsibilities will also include plans and efforts to anticipate and minimize resistant behaviors from employees and stakeholders who are impacted by the changes.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Change Management Consultant, you will help support and lead data-driven solutions to address human factors affecting an organization’s ability to reach its strategic objectives. You will do this by performing the following job responsibilities:
- Align with our core Change Management mission “Our people focused approach will help employees successfully navigate the change, resulting in an increased speed of adoption, utilization, proficiency and help achieve your ROI goals.”
- Utilize Endeavor proprietary methods and tools to assist with the development of the overall Change Management strategy and detailed plan for the full lifecycle of the implementation.
- Manage the overall execution of and work with the project manager to integrate the Change Management plan into the overall project plan.
- Utilize a structured approach (i.e. Prosci) to develop and lead a change management plan and activities.
- Utilize change management methodology (i.e. ADKAR), process, and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
- Facilitate communication efforts.
- Enable the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications.
- Provide upstream (leadership) communications and updates as well as downstream communications to the team members.
- Assess the change impact.
- Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
- Develop / facilitate training efforts (when required).
- Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with the overall project manager.
- Lead change management assessments.
- Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
- Identify and manage anticipated and persistent resistance.
- Strategize with and coach project teams.
- Define actionable deliverables for the core change management plans: Sponsor Plan, People Manager Plan, Communications Plan and Training Plan
- Define actionable deliverables for any required “Extend” plans such as Resistance Management Plan
- Strategize with and engage senior leaders.
- Coach people managers and supervisors.
- Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinate efforts with other team members and specialists.
- Define change management activities into the project plan.
- Evaluate and ensure user readiness.
- Lead and manage stakeholders.
- Track and report issues
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
- Support change management at the organizational level
- Develop and manage the change portfolio.
