The role holder is responsible for managing, monitoring and liaising with key stakeholders and related parties in the development and delivery of a large scale rail project managing the design, planning, procurement, construction and operations. The role holder is pivotal in ensuring that all requirements align seamlessly with the programme's operational goals, sponsor expectations and stringent safety standards.<br/>

<u>Principal Accountabilities </u></p><ul><li>Managing the delivery of the rail project through the various stages of the project life cycle, from concept development to completion of implementation</li><li>Liase and coordinate meetings between M100, M400 and M500 project teams to ensure alignment on timelines, deliverables, and integration points</li><li>Review the scopes of the interfacing series contracts (eg. M400 to M500 or M500 to M400) to ensure that they align with the overall objectives and requirements of the package</li><li>Oversee and manage the delivery of package activities and deliverables</li><li>Administer the contracts for several projects as part of a programme and;</li><li>Monitor, track and report on project expenditure, schedule, milestones, change and quality</li><li>Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with operational railway interfaces</li><li>Facilitate collaboration and integration among multidisciplinary programme teams</li><li>Ensure compliance with planning and procurement policies across all related project activities.</li><li>Advocate for continuous improvement, taking advantage of opportunities as they arise</li><li>Perform additional tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>15+ years’ experience in project management activities with at least 7 years’ experience including activities across the project lifecycle ideally within significant procurement activities through to completion in high value metro rail projects or projects of a similar scale/complexity.</li><li>Construction management expertise.</li><li>Commercial and financial acumen, including pre & post contract management.</li><li>Leadership and management experience of medium scale, diverse teams.</li><li>Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and consistent dialogue between all parties involved.</li><li>Ability to govern and drive project & programme outcomes to ensure high quality service.</li><li>Ability to manage technical outputs to drive efficiency.</li><li>Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects & programmes.</li><li>Strong project management skills to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of the project.</li><li>Ability to effectively engage with and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and consistent dialogue between all parties involved.</li><li>Proficiency in gathering, documenting, and analysing project requirements to ensure they align with customer and operational needs.</li><li>Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the project.</li><li>Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and ensure cohesive project delivery.</li><li>Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track.</li><li>Understanding of railway systems, including design, operations, and safety standards.</li><li>Experience in quality assurance processes to ensure that
