SECURITY OFFICER-WAKEFIELD

Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time and part-time employees.

PROVIDES SECURITY AND RELATED ASSIGNMENTS TO INSURE THE SAFETY OF THE MEDICAL CENTER'S PATIENTS, VISITORS AND ASSOCIATES. PREVENT DESTRUCTIVE ACTS TO T HE MEDICAL CENTER'S PROPERTY.  PERFORMS RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

• COMPLETION OF A NYS APPROVED SECURITY GUARD TRAINING PROGRAM AND A CURRENT NYS SECURITY GUARD LICENSE REQUIRED.

• HEARTSAVER CERTIFIED FIRST AID, CPR AND AED CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

• VALID NYS CLASS 4 DRIVIERS LICENSE PREFEREED

• AT LEAST 3 YEARS SECURITY OR MILITARY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

• HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED REQUIRED

• KNOWLEDGE TO UTILIZE OFFICE EQUIPMENT, PC, TO PROCESS SECURITY REPORTS, OPERATE MOTOR VEHICLE (IF AUTHORIZED), ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT; CCTV AND ELECTRONIC SECURITY SYSTEMS
