Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will support analytical activities, and data infrastructure and database maintenance, as well as assist with planning and coordinating operational activities of the business unit with the help of peers and administrative staff.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Enterprise Risk - Analytics and Modeling - Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Provide analytic support, support testing activities, and quantitative analysis activities.
- With guidance from leaders, support the analytic activities and evaluation of the use of testing and modeling techniques by applying standardized procedures and processes.
- Translate basic data outputs to customers, business partners, and key stakeholders.
- Assist senior team members with building, developing, and monitoring predictive data models and machine learning tools to help fuel Fannie Mae's innovation and impact.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Desired Experiences
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred
- Knowledge in R or SQL to analyze large amount of data
- Strong communication skills in both writing and presentation
- Experience with Business Intelligent tools such as Tableau is preferred.
- Related experience in mortgage financing with knowledge of key risk drivers
- Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management principles and practices
- Ability to make decisions in a timely manner under tight deadlines and at times with limited or incomplete information
- Ability to analyze data to make effective business recommendations and decisions on a day to day basis
